DirectAdmin-DDNS?

I've been trying for weeks to get a dynamic dns client script to update a subdomain here with no luck at all. I've been looking at examples like https://github.com/shoaloak/DirectAdmin-DDNS, and https://www.vimexx.nl/forum/14-tutorials/588-dyndns-mogelijk-via-directadmin-api-bij-vimexx?page=1#post-2323 but have had no luck at all.  I've also tried AI code generation, and got lots of nice code for the client side, but nothing that will talk to DA. This was super easy in cPanel, sigh.  Has anyone figured out how to do it?
